Good grief, folks. All this over a Fat Tire/Streched Busas and it's turning ability?!

Listen, personally I don't like the fat tire, chromew, stretch look. I like riding the bike as it was intended to it's limits best I can...i.e. SPORT riding. It reminds me of the red neck, thug-wanna-be, gold toothed, ricecar driving punks in their Honda Civics with super low profile chrome wheels & tires, big air wings, cheezy gold plated emblems and coffe can exhausts. And although I'm sure some riders can ride the fat tired beasts very well through the twisties I know when comparing apples to apples they won't turn as well as a Busa with a 190 and proper suspension.

Admittedly "I don't get" the fat tire stretched thing...it all seems pointless "to me." This is because I like to view things as being useful or practical first and foremost (i.e. choosing Ohlins suspension as opposed to chrome wheels). But in all honesty who cares what I think?

S4L, I don't think he is saying he can outride a normal Busa on a track just that he can ride the fatty busa very well for what it is capable of. I see what you're saying but you need to calm down. Who cares what THEY do with THEIR bikes/money/time?

I'm sure the Fat Tire boys ride around knowing they will get some people that look at the bike and say "cool, hot, bad-ass, etc." and others that will say "why, what a waste, redneck, wanna-be, poser, etc." So unless somebody is deciding to buy chrome fat tires and stretched arms as opposed to putting towards their debt or their children's future, why should I or anybody else really give a rat's @ss? Not that I should care anyway, but to do so would prove one to be a fool.

Having said all that, the fat tire, chromed, stretched, painted Busas are a dime a dozen anymore and they are not as unique anymore. Not to mention all the Gixxers and Yammis out there w/ the same set-up.

Well put OVER_EASY....we all have diff preferance to what we like and want are bikes to be. YES the fatt tire, chrome, and air brushing is getting more and more popular with a typical type of rider. BUT not all of us fit that type. Think you have heard what I am saying " taking the 330 to the best it can be...NOT that it will hang with 200 in the turns thu.
Some put the cling into all out performance and others into the bling.
Even at the drag track...they know I did not build a 330 for dragracing, but I get the respect for trying it and still turning a good time with it. Im not the fastest or best no matter where Im at. There is always one out there that will out do me or you at anything in life.

Im done...unless its about the TOPIC...... 300 vs 330.

made your post much more to the point...but uhmm...BTW??? 'riding the bike as it was intended' would mean you spend all day trying to break 180mph on every straightaway you see-not just 'hittin tha twisties' with it

The Busa is built for a HUNDRED different uses...kinda like our cages-it can accomplish a number of things well just as-is, BUT...with the proper equipment *deemed necessary BY THE OWNER* the Busa can be made into an entirely different tool other than the giant Sport-Tourer that it was developed to be *c'mon w/the "canyon carver" talk with this bike guys....if you want a REAL 'carving' bike, s**thead4life has made it very clear that ONLY a liter-bike is capable of that*

Its all good for someone to say "hey guys, i got this sweet new Ohlins steering damper" and then we all drool, and give'em a hi-five n tell the owner 'thats the coolest s**t ever!" But whenever its something aesthetic, there's always a few turds who wana pi$$ in the koolaid and have to take the time to post a comment like "eh, not for me" as if the owner gave 2 s**ts about what somebody else thinks looks stoopid or not
