I don't know if this has been addressed but there is a bit of talk about needing to remove the flywheel stator rotor for changing your ECU to 32 bit as well as pin out changes to the harness. This is my .02 cents. As informative as this thread is removing the stator rotor requires a tool from Suzuki that I have seen prices range from 10$ to 54$ well I bought mine for 2.00. All I used was a oil drain plug M20-1.5 thread. It is a common oil drain plug in use for chevy trucks. I didn't know if mine would be long enough as it was about .5 inches so I dropped a dime in the hole before threading the bolt and it worked like a charm. I didn't buy the flywheel wrench either I just used Channel lock 460 pump pliers. This was for my 2000 hayabusa.

I used a #3 screw driver to keep things from moving during the loosening process.
