78 280 Z What do you think?

Looks to be back on, so I'll keep you posted. Next season? How about next weekend!

I had a 85, 89, and a 91 Twin Turbo. The 91TT was my favorite I kept it 8 years and 160K miles. It was a car at leat 5 years ahead of it's time. That empty garage space just driving you crazy, huh Charlie? Or gotta find something to do until track season starts next Spring again?

Empty garage space? Did ya get rid of something? I've not been keepin up on the Org as well as I should be.

My buddy few years back had a 78 280Z but previous owner swapped in a Corvette 327 and high rise fiberglass hood. Man that was a fast car.

Those are so sweet ! My son asked me if I ever heard of a 260Z . LOL I told him they had a 240Z also .I liked the 280Z with the V-8 conversion

Oh man, those V8 conversions are an abomination to a pure Z guy. Good for me that I'm not one...:) I'd love to drop a nice 350 in there.

I'm a Z fanatic and I think I just wet....er.. Well.. Nice.. Bit out my range since I just bought an S2000, but nice ride.. Like the 240sx pick up truck.. That threw me off!!!

280 z was cool for sure i had 2 of them. I learned to drive on one.I tell ya the car i miss is the fiero gt. Take the 6 out of them and put the 350 in them...heck of a conversion but hard to keep the motor cool.

My old man had a two tone 280Z. That was such a cool car. Have always loved Z cars. Not the fastest but they sure did handle good.

Get that S.O.B. Z cars are sweet ,my Dad had a Orange 240z way back in the day. There is a place here in Tampa that has tons of Z parts and cars with v8 motors in them.

I had an '81 280Z, was blue and silver. Was a fun car, but had a lot of fuel system troubles with it. Fuel pressure regulator one time, had to replace a lot of the fuel lines, etc.. It finally just wouldn't start one day, and never ran again. I didn't have the $$ at the time to tow it to a garage, so I sold it to a guy down the street. He never got it to run either and sold it to someone else. They got it going as I seen it going through town one day a coupla years later.
Fun car, and I remember there in the early 80's they cost as much as a new Corvette for a fully optioned model off the showroom floor.

In ca I think that 78 would be a lil high priced with it having to be smog legal and all IMO. For the right buyer that thing is clean.

I had been thinking of getting rid of my 78Z . These recent threads have really got me thinking.

Jerk, took a 1000 dollar deposit with the clear understanding I was coming up next week to pick it up. Sold it out from under me...

So wrong!
If you make a deal that's that.

I have bought and sold many vehicles and would never leave or take a deposit. Always come ready if you can.
