8.88 Stock motor 08

If he posted without an ET slip they would have cried foul... he posts with an ET slip, still I hear "foul"

Hey if anyone lives close and cares that much, head on over and watch the guy.. 'really'

I have watched numerous bikes with 6-12lbs of boost run 10's so I suppose anything is possible..

I figure the slips are legit unless someone dumps an eyewitness on me :) (then we break out the rope)

Hey Draco, I understand what your saying. Trust me it has been beaten to death over on suzukihayabusa, check it out for some more info. Like I said earlier I have no idea if the mph clocks are happy since I have no way of checking. But I can tell you that I have a buddy that rides an 08 also with the same mods minus the ligher wheels, batt, and swingarm and he has run a best of 9.23 at swb and he usally trapps between 153-154 but has gone as fast as 155mph. And last year in these same weather conditions I was running my zx14 which was setup the same as my busa and the best it would trap at this track was 149-152mph.

I have been drag racing for many years, and every once in a while you will get a crazy mph slip, but this isnt the case here. The bike runs this every weekend. I have had slips that have read over 163mph lol, which obviously was wrong.

As for mods here is everything that I have done to the bike: brocks ah, brocks clutch mod and cushion kit, pc5 with his pump gas track map(which picked up 1mph over his street/track map), I have pulled the mesh screen off of the stock airfilter, 17/47 gearing, EK 530ZZZ chain, adams swingarm set at 62.2", mps airshifter, marchesini alum wheels, 120/60 front tire, speedcell batt, lowered as much as I can front and rear without clearance issues, cut down stock seat, and we extended the rev limiter to 12k since I was tapping the limiter right before I was going through the traps with my gearing.

Im in northern california and the weather is perfect here right now. Our track is at 65' elevation and we can have conditions that put the DA at -1000' sometimes. And yes we usually have a good tail wind.

But no trickery here and I have nothing to hide. The motor is 100% stock and there is no gas on it:thumbsup: Trust me when I do something to the motor you guys will be the first to hear about it:thumbsup:

Next up I want to try the gixxer1k short stacks, add a few degrees of timing and maybe try some mr9 to see if that helps any. But right now Im pretty sure this is about as fast as the bike is going to go with my ass on it.

I run almost everyweekend, so If we have any locals it would be great to get some more bikes out to the track with us:beerchug:

I don't see the big deal with going to another track to back things up. If the bike runs that great you should be able to run the times anywhere...

As soon as I get my nhra license renewed I will get out to another track. And its not a big deal:beerchug: Im not trying to break any records here just posting my findings:thumbsup:

I have a 4 inch tall stack of timeslips that all read 9.00 to 9.05, but I never got an "8" on stock motor, so congrats.

My motor is finally coming apart for the first time this weekend now that the snow is coming. Brock sent me some BST wheels that are absolute works of art. I have a three page list of things I'm changing. I'm setting the bike on kill for next spring.

yeah but im also running 5" more wheel base than they are, so I dont think that my times are all that crazy

thats kinda what i was getting at...

also im sure your wheels and swingarm may be a little lighter? maybe.

I gotta give the fella the benefit of the doubt until something proves me wrong...if I run that fast I would post up and tell about it too~!~

It wouldn't matter to me if I did get lucky 3 times in a row, the air was 35 degrees with a 10 mph tail wind, and I was at sea level...it really wouldn't matter, I'd still have to spill it out~!~

I'd be honest about the rest of the info as I could, but I'd still brag my arse off for at least one thread about it...

Remember, no one wanted to believe the speeds we ran on stock motors at Maxton, then no one wanted to believe the speeds on stock gearing...things happen :beerchug:

Awfully fast time, but as of yet I don't have any reason to say he didn't do it~!~

People still don't believe...

Yeah yeah yeah, I know...but I really have nothing that needs to be proven to anyone (that's why we sold the 1000 and got the Busa )

But if anyone cares to take a look you're more than welcome to stop by and make sure nothing on this motor has been touched (seems a little far fetched I know, but...)

Do it soon, because after Christmas I'll have the heads off mine getting a little work done~!~ (hopefully) (I'm tired of having to work so hard at 200MPH)

Beside, Kevin ran his over 200mph...if I were telling any lie at all in this story, then I would have said that my own bike did 200 also...

As it was mine did 199.2 - I think that in itself should say I'm not making anything up~!~

No one else really needs to believe...I think it's pretty cool myself

And there again, as said before...the conditions have to be perfect...I have had a hard time backing it up in the recent events...but did it happen~?~ No question...we had a nice cool weekend with perfect conditions

At any rate, sorry fella for taking up your thread space...let's get back to you~!~ :beerchug:

PS:: I put a 1 down sprocket on the rear at this last meet and only ran a 198...I think the motor is perfectly matched to the stock sprockets (199.2)...but Kevin is 20 lbs lighter then me and always runs a bit faster than I do
