9.28 @ 149mph Hayabusa For Sale! Make Offer!

Yeah, $12-$14 grand. WOW!

No bull, I bought mine three weeks ago,
$10,500, out the door, tax, tag and title.

They dropped the price of the bike, before taxes and stuf, $9499.00.

I didn't even work them that hard.

P.S. I guess it makes a diff. on the color?

Mines red and grey.

Around here all the dealers got 1 blue to 6 reds, so the blue is a lot more. You can find the red ones for MSRP but the blue is a lot more. I got lucky when I bought mine I got it for $10,950.00 out the door with 6% tax, title, etc. Now you can't touch one for anywhere near that!

jason could jump on my bike, rip a 9.30 off, then my bike would be "proven". my mph is nearly there, thats the true showing of h.p.- jason stated earlier that his bike only made 156 h.p. on the dyno, then ripped off a 9.2 or 3 in front of all the big boys..put a average rider on that "proven" bike and it will be right back in the .60's or .70's. his price is high, shiit $10,500 would be high, but he'll sell it to someone...having said that, jason is a very cool approachable guy, and i'd hate to admit it, but will probably get the 12 into the low teens (with those 155 mph trap speeds, maybe faster)...

Well, I am not pushing to sell the bike, so it doesn't matter much to me or not if I sell it. I won't sell it for less than 12k. If you don't think it is worth that then you don't have to buy it. It is worth that to some. As far as breaking in, it is not neseccary. That is a way that dealers scare you, they tell you this, becasue if you have a problem with the machine they tell you, that you did not break it in properly. So that way it is on your dime. If you don't know that by now, well then... Also, do you think Billy Vose, or Matt Hines or Rob Muzzy, go putt around the street for a thousand miles on it before they race them, I don't think so. A hundred miles is fine for racing, on all brand new parts. Plus you get a little looser motor that way, and that makes it fast, look at mine. I would like to sell it, but I'm not pressed about it either way. Robert Suprenant has ran some bad *** times, so has Chip, and Rickey. But with all that mph it has got to run at least 9.2s maybe 9.1s.

P.S. I ran a Huffy off the floor yesterday and I ran a 8.06 @ 188mph (lowered with bigger pedals, stock wheelbase & stock chain). I would like to try a Schwinn though, I think it has better top end and is a pound lighter.

I guess i am low on the price for mine. It's a 99 black and charcoal, Adams Performance 3" to 9" adjustable arm, lowered, modified airbox, PC-2, Muzzy Pipe, M/T tire. re-geard and clutch mod with the heavy duty springs. and i was asking $9000 or best offer or trade for a ZX-9 or R1.

C.Dolan was saying that some bikes don't loose value as nor did mine I got my 750 for 10,400 and I talked to a guy who just oredered a new on that he will get in a month for 11,200 and he offered me the same for mine cause it already had a pipe on it. You know I had to turn it down cause I have more that that in it but he was saying in stock condidtion so I guess that is a deal but not for me I am going to keep my baby!!

I must be missing something here. Jason. You got 2000 Busa, 500 miles new(LOL) probably 30 passes at strip on it. Its been below 9.50 secs so its been balls out. Hummmm... Wonder what those rings & pistons look like?? Must be just seated extra well huh! As for selling it for 12.500 I'll give ya $8000.00 as I'll need the other $4500.00 for the replacement motor! WAKE UP !!!

P.S. And if your selling it to buy a ZX-12 get the **** outta our form you trader!

jason M.I.T has more studies and more knowledge than the people with whom you speak. so argue with thier studies on break in.engines built for racing run specific clearances on the crank bearings etc.and not a general mass assembled within a certain spec.clearances.unless you like to buy cranks you should give it a few hundred miles.unless you don't care about engine longevity.

Hey Motorhead good call. I believe The Motorhead is right on when he gave that last statement. For the purposes of longevity proper break-in is a must. Now if the market will bear the price then great for the seller.

I personally believe the cost of Miller's 'busa is prohibitive. 500 miles or even less; when buying used, a history of the machine must be taken into account. Then again I'm not a drag racer or have that kind of extra money. I'm sure that there are plenty of people out there in the world whom have the money to spend on anything they want and are into dragracing. I predict that Miller will get close to his asking price if not all of it. I don't expect the 'busa in question will go ten years and provide as good performance as a ten year properly broke in 'busa.
