9023 miles on stock tires.

You could probably squeak some more miles out of the front. I would recommend changing them as a set though.

I think that a sport-touring tire would serve you better, Billy. Your riding style is perfect for something with multiple compound construction. If you keep putting hyper-sport tires on your bike, you'll just keep squaring them off, and wasting money. You want a high-mileage (harder compound) in the middle. You will get more mileage and more bang for your buck, even if you simply opt for a tire like the Bridgestone BT-021.
I think your right.
Is there any good sites that sell good sport-touring tires at a good price?

Hey Billy, Damn Brother......Thats a **** load of miles on them stockers  Dont worrie about all the ":poke:" I'm "CHICKEN STRIP CHALLANGED" also  :cheerleader: I usually burn the middles out, and the side's(chicken strips)look Brand Spank

Straight liner no doubt. That's pretty impressive miles even for easy slab riding. My stocker BT56s lasted 2400 miles.

By no means am I a hard rider but I have never got over 4500 miles out of a tire. 9000+ miles sounds crazy!

whats the lightning you have on your guage cluster next to the gear indicator, I never seen that on mine.

You have one smooth throttle hand to accomplish that feat.:cheerleader:

I always have these dark tar snakes chasing me around all over the place.

I just bought a multi-compuond Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart from American Motorcycle tire .com for $107 + $11 shipping (front) the matching rear is $141 .

But for what it's worth ... I use most of the tire (1/4" chicken strips) :poke:

No way I could get that kind of mileage out of a tire ...unless maybe I kept it in "C" mode all the time. I get too much of a charge out of acceleration to worry about getting maximum life out of my tires. When I start to worry about that I will get another Gold Wing. :poke:

Hope the rest of your bike isn't as dirty as the cluster. The front is worn enough to warrant changing now too.

Billy, what tire PSI you doing?
I always have 42PSI rear 42PSI front.
You guys are probably a lot more experienced than i am. I only been riding a year, my first bike was a 2007 ZZR600 kawasaki, my 2nd is the one i have now, 2008 blue/gold hayabusa.
To be honest with ya people, when i go into turns on a country road where the speed limit is 55 MPH i dont really lean that much for fear of wiping out, i do turn thou:laugh:.
I only been riding for a year and have to work on my lean, i admit.
The hayabusa is a great bike and im glad i bought it, it handles better than my kawasaki 600.
Im 44 years old and love my hayabusa.
A straight-A-way is a different story:laugh:
