A few mods here and there

Im also having a hell of a time with MD inspection so any help what i should do would be greatly welcomed:1zhelp:

Whats up with the inspection?
You need reflectors
if passenger pegs, you need the seat and grab bar
May have issue with the tag mount and light..where is it at?

1 thing though. Did the helmet come with those two vent type things? Not sure on your local laws,but it might make the helmet no longer "Dot" compliant.
 
The helmet came with the horns, they are double sided taped on. just like the mohawks you see these days. the bike has one rotor on the front, front shield you cant see through, reflectors front and rear, no tag bracket with light on rear, no rear fender. no grab bar yada yada yada.....

IS this a DC thing or are you getting MD inspection: SOunds like BULL for sportbike.
One rotor..should not be an issue
Front shield is low and NOT for looking thu anyhow
relectors..YES needed front and rear! Either stock of cheap temp stick ons
Tag bracket and light prob need at most rear tail and horizontal..YES
No rear fender....BUSA doesnt have a fender even stock, thats BULL. Well guess they do have the duck bill when new?
Grab bars..YES, cause you have passenger pegs.( you can take off the passenger peg brackes to show NO passenger) then not seat or grab bar req!

Where are you getting the inspection from? Try a MD bike shop for inspection
 
Im trying to get Md inspection its a pain in ass. I try to staraight and narrow but im looking outside the box now its going to cost me too much to comply.
 
Checked at local shop ( twiggs cycles ) here in Hagerstown.
Single front rotor, as long as meets spec req condition....PASS
your front screen..take it OFF....PASS- if have screen, must be visible.
GRab bar and passenger seat, or remove passenger pegs..PASS
need reflectors.
For the fender...a hugger like fender or a tail fender...Pass
Tag and light...must be light and very visible. Can be vertical maybe on side of bike mounted to passenger peg bracket....PASS
Does that cover it.
Said MD inspection laws where wrote so long ago, before sportbikes..that it conflics with sportbikes all the time.
 
Hopefully you get it on the road soon . Bikes like that need to be ridden not parked. looks great:beerchug:
 
I'm interested to see how you do. And how many years old does the bike have to be to need inspection. I've never had one with my 06, never been an issue....yet!
 
if i take the wind screen off i have to have one to replace it. i belive the bolts that hold it on are painted. which means it was painted while assembled. Tag bracket the said could not be verticle. no place for a fender, tag light easy. have you seen a tire huger for a 330? grab bar, i can find one to borrow from the girl that i sold my bike to. All bikes must be inspected. I may switch to DC, they just did away with inspection totally. Even when the did have it they just checked signals, lights, horn, brake lights and pass! you sat on the bike it took about 60 secs.

If you take the screen OFF...like so many motorcycles do NOT have screens..then your OK, no law says a bike HAS to have a screen!
Twiggs Cycles is fine with vertical tag mount as long as highly vissible.
Nope..never seen a hugger for 330 arms, but you could remove the undertail and make a flap like fender out the rear like my pic. ( this is my race tail I use for the track. The flap out the back is carbon and keeps the burnout slime off ME....some? Its a fender and ok per Twiggs for the need of inspection.
Just trying to help simplify your issues.

ok cool. i have to wait until my sproket and chains get ordered cause i know at least for inspection here they ride your bike. I dont want the chain skipping on them and ill check berrings too like u said

i can get this guys # who will pass u for an extra 45 in md...
will save u a bunch of bs $ and time
if u bring it on a trailer i hrd u dont even have to take it off.

hope to see u out chea on the streets next season
 
Thats what im going to do. The bike is safe ive been on it numerous times and im all for following rules but this has gone too far. PM sent.
