this is true. To bad the van at the start of the vid didn't see it. Just a little close and I heard his rear tire lock up. Can you say Pucker Factor.

Nice video and the driver actually used the turn signal some times and forgot to turn it off other times. Also, I didn't knoe the European version Hayabusa only had 5 gears and not 6 like the North American version.

I just want to know if we can get the guys VIN # for when this beat up busa shows up on ebay as "never abused/babyed 2,500 dollars you send money I ship via regular mail with americain fifty cent stamp." Couldn't believe he didn't shift into 6 gear. You can see and hear that back wheel lock up though, little wobble there for a second. great video!!

Ride it like you stole it

I liked how he beeped at the minivan that cut him off. Like they were supposed to know he was traveling at 3 times the legal speed limit. LOL.

Hi, guys, first off all the guy in the vídeo is my friend, he has a Busa of 1999 red/black with one line of exhaust Muzzy, and with a g-pack, back tire is  Bridgestone BT20.
The video is allocated in www.hayabusa.pt.vu, wich is the fórum of hayabusa in Portugal, my banner link's to it, and is mine.

Algarve is in PORTUGAL, not in Spain...

and Busa came from Japan, not spain... again...
The video was taken in a Highway always with much traffic and with irregular ground, several accidents every day.
The turn signal on, is the best way that cars see you with front light.
Yes, our speed limit is 120 km/h in Highways, and yes, if we get caught we pay, a lot, like you in USA.
1mph=1.609 km/h
This is the Busa of the clip
ImageShack Links Do Not Work

PS: I told him to get a video with the 6 speed

hi Rycardo,

sorry I thought the vid was Spanish coz the road and the signals on it are exactly as Spanish ones. Also we both measure distances and speed in kilometers so this is why I thought bike was spanish.

I dont want to robb your star anywhere.....and tell your friend to ride safe dude!

Nice video---I wonder if I can ride like that on the New York State thruway. Think smokey will mind?

Correction to my post above, exhaust system is Mycron and he has a PCII.
Eight, no problem.

Long time I haven't been in here. Well, haven't got my Busa anymore, but don't worry, I didn't dare to trade it for a ZX12, XX, or other bullet-bike. I now ride a Honda 599 (I think that's the name you call it in the US - Honda Hornet in europe).

Again, about the video, I want to say some further thing, and comment some comments:

- yes, the video was shot in Algarve - Portugal (not Spain) - if you don't know nothing about Portugal, let me tell you that every year there's a big party bike in Algarve, which is one of the most famous party bikes in Europe... MotoClube de Faro

- Portugal is not a lawless country. If you are caught speeding on a highway (top speed allowed is +-70mph), you get fined, and you can lose your drivers license... on worse cases you can even get jailed.

- On highways you always get traffic, but you can also get 3 or 4 lanes sometimes, where you can speed a lot

- Police cars on highways usually are not identified. They use hidden radars on those cars, and you can be caught by so many different cars like Audi A4, BMW 320, Subaru Impreza, etc...

- Eight, we forgive your mistake, but DON'T do it again!!!!

- ... and don't be so hard on the guy 'cause he didn't shift to 6th ;)
