sorry to be the one to deliver the bad news.....But, my back is broke. February 3, 2004. Here in Arizona in Chandler..I hit a light pole the wrong way and my body said snap. I have a fused T-10, T-11 and I have fractures as high as T-6 with a brused core and it is incomplete. Thank goodness... I was a fool on my Busa. I went from a 600rr to a 954rr right to the busa in 6 months..A little too soon. I was angry and wanted to ventilate so I hit I-60 and cut it loosa ( as usual), hit 200 and felt better. Or so I thought. It was 7pm and the street lights were mixed with sundown. Basically new to a beast, thinking about problems and not the road and with bad lighting it was a disaster. Hit the median, did a killer stoppy and flew into a pole. I have feeling and slight movement in my left leg. I hope to walk again.. Which leads me to MY BIKE IS FOR SALE 2003 with 2300 miles and some scrapes down the right side...$7000.00 takes it. Sorry my bike days are over all. It was a pleasure riding the Busa-----But no more. Call 602-510-8753.......

Sorry man ... however thank you for sharing. This may help others avoid a similar fate.

Have you listed your bike in classifieds?

Next time I am in Chandler perhaps we can share a cold one?
Here's to a quick recovery...

I tell all my students in the classroom to tell me a horror story that they have heard about a motorcycle accident. Most of the time I get mixed reactions from the students like "Why the hell does he want to talk about accidents, we are here to learn to ride". The truth is, if you own a motorcycle, somewhere along the line, someone is going to tell you a story of a loved one or a friend that died on one. Then I tell the class how to use these stories to there advantage. After a story is told we discuss what happened, how it could of been avoided, and what actions did the motorcyclist take during the accident. A high percentage of the time, we can break it down where the motorcyclist was completely at fault or there could of been something the motorcyclist could have done prior to the accident that could of dismissed the whole incident. We discuss strategies (what is taught in the MSF course) and accident avoidance maneuvers (again what is taught in the MSF course) that can be used to avoid accidents. Yes I understand there are times out there (very rare in my opinion) that the accident is completely unavoidable. But as a learning tool, accident stories and scenarios are a great tool to make a rider a better and more aware rider. IMO

minicooper034u, I'm sorry to hear about your accident and I hope you heal up quickly.

Keep the rubber side DOWN. I am on my 2nd Busa.... 2001 & 2004 Black & Purple. I am NOT confused about the Power this Bike has.
Reading what has already been shared stays with me when I ride . I respect the ride. Thanks for keeping it all real .

I think the stories get posted anyway! I think it would be good and hopefully would be reviewed by newbies and oldies alike!

sorry dude, but I feel your pain, got clipped the other day by a taxi in the middle east, went down, got away from the bike, but my legs got ran over by an oncoming pickup truck.Nursing a broken ankle, got two screws inserted the day after.I'm not parting with my ride,2004 Purple & Black beast! Get well soon, hope to be not far behind you!!!!!

This opinion may be a late addition but for what it's worth. I'm all for it!!!

I do orthopaedic clinic and surgery, to include trauma surgery. I've seen too many of us come in. Rolled over the legs, needed screws? Been there done those... I also agree without the gore! If you pictures of location, i.e. intersection, parking lot, level of damage to the vehicles, etc., I think that's ok but not bloody victim shots. I just don't think that's necessary....
