ACUMEN DIGI8 GEAR INDICATOR

Got the idea from this forum about the gear indicator.
I bought one from EBAY for GBP 45,00.
I do install by myself. It takes about 3 hours to install it,
I had to remove the main body cowling to gain access to the back of the gauges and both of the under cowlings (left and right, I wanted to go slow and easy but it wasn't difficult.
After all that job I notice that is not that quick as they say
in the installation kit, it takes a little time to show the gears.
To be honest is not a good part, easy to install, easy to program but is not what I was thinking.

I rode a friends 750 with one and it was not accurate either. Wish I would have known Gio, I would have informed you.

FWIW, mine is inaccurate at low RPMs/speeds where the maps overlap, but in the main powerband (>3k RPMs) you should find that things level out.

That's really where I need it, anyway -- I've found myself approaching a turn many times at speed and wanting to double-check my gear before turning in. Under those circumstances a well-trained DIGI8 will work.

Also, the new version doesn't require soldering -- just plug-n-play in the instrument cluster wiring harness and pre-programmed for the bike model.

I have one of the plug and play models and it works great. It can be a little slow at times, and get confused occasionally. But it is generally a good product and works well. Now I don't have to do the math when jumping on the freeway and looking for 7th. It doesn't have one right?

Hmmmm I never knew that this was such a common problem ---forgetting what gear you are in. Or could it be we will go to any lenght to "do a mod " on our beloved BUSAs

I've resetted the DIGI8 and re programmed again,
now it seems to work better but sometimes when I'm in 6th
gear it shows 1 than 6 and so on...
dunnow why!!!
And when I down shift it takes time to understand which
gear are you in.
