Advantages of lowering?

It got lowered this morning. It also got the bar raised with spacers. I have to say much better. It feels better and looks better. Im not trying to race on twisties so no problem there. I really didnt feel a big difference in the handling. But overall it just feels better. I gues it just comes down to preference.

That's what it is all bout , Preference ! Do what makes you feel better BRO !

If you want the bike to handle relatively the same then lower both front and rear the same amount so you don't change the steering angle.

I've got mine dropped an inch front and rear. It helps me keep the front end down when racing and it hasn't been enough to cause issues. I did the same thing on an '04 and put 40,000 miles on it with having interference problems. I do crank the preloads up and prefer the suspension to be pretty stiff.
