Interesting to compare the US to Germany, getting back to old experiences.
In the US it is all about brute power and acceleration.
In Europe it is about economy and in Germany top speed.
I'm driving a company car BMW 525 Turbo Diesel and the acceleration sucks, but on the Autobahn I get it up to 148mph. And here it the thing, at 100mph in traffic on the Autobahn it feels so slow, I want to fall asleep. No wind noise, just a slow comfortable cruise.
Anyways, this is where it is going, linky
BMW's amazing new 381 bhp 740 Nm 45 mpg triple turbo diesel (and four cars that will get it)
