Ouf...good to ear that. for a minute there, i tought that gen2 was unconfortable like a literbike. I own a gen1 and i think it's plenty confy for my taste, now knowing gen2 is similar to gen1 is good news...at least for me.I'm curious...had you ever ridden a 'busa previously? As an owner of both the gen1 and gen2 models, I find the riding position quite similar between them.
I hope you grow to like it a fraction as much as I love mine.
Best wishes,
Scar
I took my seat to an auto upholsterer (in CA) and had him shave the foam... dished it out to fit the profile of my inseam/butt. Even though I had lost some padding, the seat was "all day" comfortable afterwards. The seat is no longer a rigid, flat piece of foam but now has some shape to it. Cost was $70. Other than that, the bike is bone @$$ stock (excepting the pipes). I would like to do the Buell footpeg mod though, and eventually heli-bars. Most of my rides are 300+ miles each day, usually in the mountains between the Antelope Valley and Malibu, CA. Can't wait for spring again... I want to see what the fires did to Malibu (bummer for those folks for sure). Unfortunately, it gets a little too icy in the mornings for good canyon riding this time of the year. I can still head down that way but its gonna have to be freeway riding till spring. I think I'm gonna try Sturgis for 2008.Sorry to hear this, Now change the rearsets and add a custom Tobin seat and you will have all day comfort!
