Air Box Screens

Has anyone looked to see how the screens for the ram air are attached. I'm going to do do the screen mod on all the panels in gold since I have the blue bike and would like to repaint the black intake screens gold. I don't want to take the whole front off to find out the screens are molded into the FRP. I'm hoping they are just screwed in so I can take them off and properly paint them.

Haven't checked an '08, but imagine they are just tacked in like the Gen1s. Shouldn't be a problem removing them.

I removed the Screen in the nose and had mine powdercoated black. I took a soldering gun, got it good and hot and just heated each contact point until it released. I also re-installed the same way. Worked good for me.
