Akra installed on the trackbike

With the help of my ace mechanic an tool retrival specialist, my wife, we installed the Akra Titanium Evolution on my R1.

The installation was what I have come to expect from Akra and I am well pleased with the end result.

I should be able to get some dyno time in the next few weeks.

I have got to know how it sounds! I am seriously thinking of an R1 for a track bike and that exhaust was the top of my list. Want to know more!

The sound is verry mellow and very deep at idle. I have only reved it a little bit in the garage but it does sound nice. Once the PC is installed and some dyno time, I sould have a better performance report.

All I have seen on the Akra on the R1, the 7k rpm flat spot is history

cool kev...and i agree....i haven't seen "Igor" let anybody down yet in fit, finish and especially performance...to bad he hadta "lock-in" a U.S. distributor...but i guess that took a lot of the sales and CS weight off his small slovenian shoulders!

Top grade materials...first rate craftsmenship...and reasonable pricing.

But I gotta admit...i'm sorta shocked you didn't go with a "Graves Motorsports" exhaust system.

NICE! The Akra sounds AWESOME on the R1's. And like you said - so long to the flat spot at 7K.

On another note... Your rear tire is looking blue

Better change that out - unless you just like how it matches the blue bike. HAHAHAHA

Pull those secondary throttle plates before your tune as well, really wakes up the lower end...just prepped and tuned an 06 147 hp......SAE custom mapped to 13 to 1 AFR.

It come down to a price point....

With the Akra on closeout, it ended up being a better deal.
