Akrapovics

Hey guys,
see lots of post about Yoshis' & Muzzys, But I would like to see some stats/opinions on the Akrapovics. They were Highly recommended to me by Hamn Motorsports, way above the other two. (Of course I'll be going with a Power Commander.) is anyone familiar with these pipes? they talked as if these pipes were "IT".

I have an Akra Race system that came on the bike when I got it. I think it has a deep, but not overpowering, growl and feels like it has added a little power to the bike. Haven't had it dynoed yet, so can't give you real numbers only seat of the pants dyno stuff. Yosh has always had a good relationship with Suz and Muzzys (from what I've read not actual experience) provide a good system with a decent power increase for about half the cost of other systems. Just my $.02.

As stated before....drag racer - Gen3 streetsmart. Roadracer - Akrapovic evolution series (if money allows, race if not). Yosh is a good second choice for a roadracer if finances are tight. Muzzy not up to par, imo. Weight savings with just about any full system are just as important as power gains. BDE map with gen3, Quasar map with any other brand. Good to go....

Well, found online prices for the evolution series at about $1300. I've always been one to do thing right. wanna be able to beat the stupid ZX-14 who's will be feeling cockey, ready to take on the first Busa he sees. Beating the averaged supped up Buza wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I was on the fence with BDE3 or Akra race and after listening to a couple friends Busa's with those pipes on I was sold on the Akra for the fit finish and price I went with Akra 890.00 to my door versus 1045.00 w/o shipping
just my .02 btw if you havent already picked up a PC3usb get one and a custom map it will make world of difference.....

Why do you say use the Akro Evo's for road racing and the BDE Gen III's for dragging? Please explain as the BDE Gen III dyno charts look to be the best at all RPMs.

I love my Akro Bolt on's. Great sound, great look, and quality that is just perfect. Truly some good stuff.

BUT I certainly wont hesitate to put Yoshi's on a Busa... Perfect fitment, and great quality carbon...

Well, Got a killer deal on some Yosh RS-3 4~1 Race only. under 6 bills.
Messaged Quasar on the maps. Bit on the pricy side but may still look into it. What othe maps sites are avalible that will work on the PC USBIII? they seemed to have only one map for my set up.

I had read he charges $75.00 for his maps and does free updates if you make any changes. Thats a lot less then going to a dyno.
