since Im obviously the only cheap 'old school' traveler left here-
I updated my new cell to have Navigation capabilities, and bought a Blu-tooth headset that has 2 earbuds and a dog-tag lookin control unit w/volume, ans/cancel calls, pause/play/rewind/etc. it hangs 'round your neck n earbuds plug in...earbuds were $35 i think, phone was $150 w/rebates.
Have used this to go on several 200-plus mi. trips n works fine-I get my directions via Blu-tooth inside helmet with no issues other than wires blowin in the wind a bit...only downside is not having an extra power adptr to plug in phone; batt gets pretty abused after riding 200miles with NAV on whole time
but it works for short "where tha f**k am I goin?" trips around town just great
Nuvi 260w here, Voice is loud enough and street names are announced. Small, light. I like to ride, not be entertained by music, phones, etc.
If I want that stuff, I drive.
