Trip made the 'trip' over to my apartment in Hollywood this afternoon, along with his new dremmel and tools to help me remove 2 bolts that needed cutting and to help install the plastics Ninja Killer sent... and the bike is now almost looking new again. Thanks to Trip for making the ride over! I couldn't have done this on my own.... and his dremmel was absolutely needed to get those 2 bolts out.
I say the bike is almost like new... because during all this we noticed that during my crash the radiator or something in there definitely got whacked and the left side fairing down below the radiator will not install flush. We're not sure if I need a new radiator or maybe just some adjustments... so for now the fairing isn't completely on properly, but it will certainly hold til it can be fixed completely. So I'll need to get that done and then when my kanji decals come, the bike will look pretty and perfect once again. It won't look like a stock 06, because I chose to order different decals rather than the exact Suzuki ones.
Thanks again to Trip for coming over with his busa and the tools. And, always, thanks to Ninja Killer for the plastics. Here's the bike for now (sorry, didn't polish it before this photo so it's a little dusty. I had to go upstairs to my place to wash my hands and face before racing to the bank and to grab the camera.):
