I was thinking the same thing VaB's... So here's my contribution to get it back on target....
I've been listening to Jimmy since before the term "Parrothead" was coined.... I remember when "Come Monday" was released.... I went to his shows when they were still attended by one generation of fans instead of 3 generations, like it is now. I have albums - yes, vinyl records of Jimmy's stuff from back in the day - some of them are older than most of the people posting in this topic! I've always been a fan (even though he's more main stream than he used to be...) because he is truly a great human being. He selflessly gives to worthy causes around the world and even though I can't tolerate the crowds at his shows anymore, I will always support his humanitarian efforts. My only complaint is that he's done so many great songs but you only hear the same 3 or 4 played over and over and over again.... That's a big reason I LOVE Sirius satellite radio - I tune into Radio Margaritaville often to hear the stuff that doesn't get played anywhere else.... Including his live shows as they are happening all over the world.
