Am I about to make a big mistake????

I have lower back and neck problems (several collapsing discs, herniations and arthritis) and the Busa is my therapy.

My advice:
Get a double bubble windscreen to keep the air flow above your head/chest.
Get some risers so you don't have to bend over as far.

Then ride it like you stole it.

I haven't even had the test ride yet but I'm already lost in all that speed and power and wind tunnel design.... it'll make my weekly trips from Cornwall to Slough so much more fun - and quicker.  Now to find non-reflective number plates and a good reliable radar detector!

I may need to post a pic of my divorce too...!
It's a great bike an I am sure you can make it work. I got my orange 08 one week ago and have already put 600 miles on it. Adjusted and lubed the chain today and will soon change the oil.   I have been able to put in 200 mile rides pretty comfortably.  Yea, it's a big bike but it's light on it's feet and rock solid in the turns.  Smooth over bumpy pavement too. Opened her up in first gear a bit and did a nice little power wheelie so be careful if that's new to you.  Good luck, I'm sure you will love it

be careful? You too right - esp buying one in the WINTER in the UK - all those wet slippery roads. Might even have to use the wimpy power button sometimes! I have ridden a few good sports bikes over the years, but nothing more than about 130bhp - so this is a trip into the unknown!

First, get that Hayabusa; second, get a 1"-2" spacer to raise the bars up; third, enjoy!

Hey - that makes me a baby at only 52! Can't wait till tomorrow. Fingers crossed fror a dry day - they won't let the demo Busa out on wet roads. I wonder why..... !

I'll defo go for the genmar risers - assuming they fit on the '08, and probably lower the pegs but I'll wait to see if the standard setup is Ok first. Not sure about double bubble - as I'm only 5'9".

I've seen the demo - it's a black one and looks soooo cool.

Got it!  Went to GT in Plymouth -rode the brand new black demo - I was the first person to take it out.  So as it was taxed and pre-reg'ed (i.e. discounted) I bought it and rode it to Exeter and back and then home!  They have a second demo - which is why they were willing to do a discount.

WOW!  What can I say?  I have owned maybe 30 bikes over the years.  This is the best ever.. ever!  I can't believe that suh a mad bad bike is also so easy to ride and comfortable for my 'old bones' (only 52!)....   I nearly chickened out of test riding the thing after all the hype in the press - but it's a pussycat!  Only a hyperbike when you give it beans - so controllable the rest of the time.

Nearly got nicked for speeding on the way home though!

So now I have a brand new 08 black Busa in my workshop snuggled up to my GSX1400.  I guess I have Suzuki coursing in my blood.

Oh dear - starting to get poetic. Better stop this and go out for another drool in the workshop.

Pics to follow soon.  And probaby a TRE and a Power Commander. Don't seem to need bar raisers, lower pegs or dubble bubble screen though - the Busa and I are a perfect fit.  I can even get my feet on the ground - which I wasn't expecting.

Woooooo Hoooooo!!!!!

Cheers Rev! Just gone out to the workshop for another drool! Had some beer and it's 1.30 in the morning so better go sleep.
