AMA @ Atco

:cheerleader::cheerleader::cheerleader: We FINALLY have a clear day @ atco. they just started racing and now we havew an oildown delay. Greg &Terra where u guys at?

I just got home from Atco.My 1st rd I won .I dialed a 10.35. and ran a 10.45@ 136 mph with an .014 rt, the other guy redlit by a bunch. The 2nd rd I lost. I had a decent rt .089 but as I launched and hit 2nd gear I went to full throttle and it spun the tire, the bike kicked out some and it only ran a 10.54. It had been a while since I had won a round and I didnt redlight, so overall it was a good day. I ran Street E.T class and there was a huge turnout just for that class. By my estimate I would say close to 100 riders. I also met up with Draco1340. Let me know how ya made out bro.
 
Just got to work now, after driving straight from Atco at 11:00 PM. The line at payout took 2.5 hours. ??? Went 3 rounds in Pro ET, but made it to the semis $$ in Street ET. There were a bunch of bikes in street. At the end they were just hotlapping us, and it became a test of whose clutch would hold (and mine didn't).
 
The rain runied a lot of my plans, wanted to TNT Friday, Grudge (test n tune) Saturday...bracket racing is not my thing but we had a blast either way. Qualified 17th and went out in the first round.. :beerchug:
 
Way to go Draco,but 2.5 hours waitin for payout yikes. Greg what class did u run? Yeah the rain really messed things up for . That friday session would have been nice,and coulda dialed the bike in a little better. I looked all over the pits for ya but couldnt find you. This was the 1 and only "major" event I can attend only cuz I had to beg my boss to let me have off for 2 days, he finally let take off and it freakin rains!!!

9.5 index........... spun like crazy could not get it to hook up..oh well thats racing
 
I had the opposite problem... Things got going so late, that once they started going, we were almost immediatly running round robin. Between Pro and Street ET, I made 10 passes in 3.5 hours. My clutch was HAMMERED. It smells like a combination of a forest fire and a toxic chemical spill. By the time I made it into the semis, I was holding my brake at the lights to hold me from rolling forward. Ironically, the payout in street was equal to exactly the price of a new clutch:laugh:
 
I hate 2 hear A guy got hurt.Wayne Robertson not shure what class he was in.
Puntured lung+broken rib good news he is recovering in hospitol.
Did you see that? Hope he gets well soon.

Middle aged guy on a white GenII busa racing Street ET. Looked like he braked through the traps and tucked the front end. I have been to a couple of tracks recently that will kick you off the track for hard braking in the traps due to a rash of incidents like this. I don't know how you police that??
 
They said he barrel rolled like 5 times in less than 2 seconds.
Was taken hospitol by ambulance but a helicopter met up +he went in that.

He is still in hospitol.

Is that the guy that kept checking everyone's bikes for violations?
 
That mite have been the guy I raced in the 2nd rd of s.e.t. He asked me about my homemade foot pegs. Wanted to know if I went thru tech with those things on the bike, I told him yes I did . What rd was it when he went down? I left B4 the 3rd round of street et.

Yes thats the guy that checked everyone elses bike.



FYI, Jay Mendes, the guy who trailered down with me to Atco just looped his ZX14 at the 330" at lebanon Valley today. Shattered his helmet, and was out for some time. Busted himself up good. Damn... This sport can be real numbing sometimes. Made the mistake of telling my wife. Don't do the same.
