Another Dumb Question

Im a little confused...how does a 4-2-1 pipe create more HP? If im not mistaken the fastest way to go is open Headers...how does channeling the exhaust into a smaller escape passage increase it. Is it backpressure of some sort? or am i mistaken and two canisters is the way to go for more power? Im gonna get the 2 bros 4-2-1. I like the racey sound better than the low throaty rumble...but will i get more power?

I talked to two-brothers yesterday about buying there two canister full system (I like the 2 canister look).
They told me the single complete systems create better performance/HP.
Doesn't make since to me either but it was expained to me in mechnical terms far beyond my shadetree skills...something about the timing of the exhaust valves and more back pressure on the single..or whatever.

anyway they assured me if I wanted performance the way to go was a single complete system...come to think of it how many dual complete systems have you actually seen for the busa...not many I would dare to say.

Nevertheless, I still perfer the dual look. My stock busa's performance still scares the hell out me...isn't it great!

I too like the dual look Stu however i also like the single look. Confusing isnt it. The dual does look more menacing doesnt it. But that sound...i love the raspy pops and " glass pak " for lack of a better word, sound. we'll see it'll take me a while to afford the system anyways. Gonna get a second job until i get everything i want for the bike.....my woman said i can keep all the money from the second job and put it into the bike....ill be done in no time....Later James
