Probably similar to the GSX-R1000R:
MODE 1:
The “Quick shift” is available. The gear- shift lever stroke required for the shift change, is set larger and the force required for gearshift lever operation is set heavier than those in MODE 2.
MODE 2:
The “Quick shift” is available. The gear- shift lever stroke required for the shift change, is set smaller and the force required for gearshift lever operation is set lighter than those in MODE 1.

I'm shooting for a TOUCH more comfortable, but the pics and vid surely don't show a relaxed riding position. I'm assuming they're shooting for lighter/more powerful with comfort dying along the roadside.

I hear ya. To me it still looks like its a pretty good size bike just by comparing it to the gen 1 and 2 in the vid
