Another Newb gone

I got a call during lunch yesterday while I was on a ride with a few guys from the local club. The guy who called is a club member ( 2WM.org ) and he reminded me that this guy was his friend that we had spoken about him just a week or so before, and had been trying to get in touch with me to join the club and get a few stickers ... he confirmed that this was his first bike but the collision was on a blind curve and the bus was pulling out from a small side road. So cant say for sure if it was a newbie error or not. Either way he is gone and we are all very sad.

RIP

If he lived in the area, he should have known the hazards of that curve + the side road. Even when not speeding, not thinking ahead will take one of us quicker than anything else. Sad.

Please, ride safe on unknown roads and think a mile or two ahead if you do know the area. You are the best Christmas present your family can get this year ('regifting' is okay in this situation)!

It could have been a gsxr 1000 and the same thing could have happened. I'm not going to blame the busa... It's pretty much my first bike and I'm still here. It all boils down to the maturity and responsibility of the rider.

RIP

RIP, it is always a very sobering moment when I hear of a rider who has gone down. God bless his family and friends. Lets all use this as a reminder to ride safe and plan way ahead.:(

very sad... Thoughts and prayers to his family.

It Does Not matter how good of a rider you think you are, we all can and do make mistakes.  Please be careful out there!

I remember when he joined this board...I had talked with him a few times.....we have no promise of tomorrow, just live today and remember our comrades whom have fallen...rest in peace brother....
