I got 9000 out of my rear tire!!But it was utterly warn at the end,had I seen it when I went to work that day,I'd never would of left...the cord was out,I saw it first when I went for lunch  SHOCKED.gif
Needless to say the trip home that day was very very calm and slow....

I use the qualifiers now but the 56's were gettin me about 3000grand or so

I would switch it out man. Then keep that one as a spare as it does have some life left in it.

well i only did 2000 on my rear original .... and by da way no burns just lot´s and lot´s off smoking some new 1000´ super.gif rr around here

I got like 4500 out of it... But it was dangerously worn at the end...

This may be a stupid question but is there a "wear indicator" on the tire itself that tells you when it's time to change. Other than the cords showing through.

(TapRackNGo @ Oct. 01 2006,15:22) Are those sand paper marks covering up those chicken strips? beerchug.gif
It's actually not a bad idea to scrub off the new top layer of rubber. I wouldn't want to be leaning that far over on unscrubbed rubber.

Just like when you get a new tire, ride cautiously until you get it scrubbed in.

(Haelo @ Oct. 02 2006,05:44) 3000 out of the sides and 7000 out of the middle for my first (and last) Battlax.
Damn Haelo, usually it's the exact opposite...more mileage out of the sides than the middle especially in flat land FL.

Are you riding aorund in circles most of the time?
