06 LE's are only for the most experienced rides due to the speed.
I started riding when I was 15 and now I have grand kids old enough to ride. Plenty of years in the saddle !!

...anyway I found  new '06 LE in Los Angeles and they want $11800 OTD..how does that sound, good price ?

The thing that they all have in common is that they are slower than the '03

04 black and purple is the fastest color, all the others are just second best.
The 04 Black/Purple are the only bike from Suzuki that were actually co-produced at Skunk Works and incorporates the latest stealth techology and a cloaking device still not available to the public. When cloaked only the rider is visible and it appears as if he is flying thru the air. Which in fact he actually is .

Sorry to burst all your bubbles but the 05 red/black is the fastest one out there, because my mommy said so

see this:

i am not sure.. but here is what my bike 2002 does not have that the newer models.. not sure what year got...

passing switch.. flashes the headlight hi/lo
clear lenses instead of amber
flashing hazard lights
headlight does not come on while starting the bike.. only after bike is running.. less strain on battery.

the black and purple stock bikes are going for minimum of 20k-you would be very lucky to get one-

It's a small change, but here is a known feature.. The 04 models and earlier don't have this ., the 05's and 06's headlight turns off during start up. Here is the quote from suzukicycles.com

"Headlight switches off during startup to reduce load on battery "

NO!  I got mine OTD for $10,119 ('03 NEW) from CalCoast Motorsports in Ventura.  Go that extra mile up the 101 fwy.  You're not shopping for milk.  When you get there, ask for Clarence (or Dennis the finance guy to hook you up).  Tell them Eddie (Busa as a first bike) sent ya.

BTW... Sounds like your quote came from either Bert's in Asuza or Del Amo Motorsports... Believe me, they (especailly Bert's) will rip you off faster than you can get the jar of Vasaline. If you don't want to make the drive to Ventura, try Suzuki in Van Nuys off the 101 Fwy. Small shop, willing to work with you on the price.
