Anybody find better price on Zumo 550?

There's a reason their so cheap. They like to do the bait and switch method of sales. They will call you to tell you you need to buy other parts or accessories for it to work on your bike. They also like to tell you that you'll need an upgraded model to support the other features.
I called them on the Zumo 550 and buy the time I canceled my order they wanted over $700. I found at Broadway Photo for just over $600, and didn't pull the bait and switch method.

They will wait for you to call and cancel the order. They have no intension to sell it to you unless you purchase over priced accessories. They have a profit margin they have to meet.
Been there on a camera many years ago. Finally I canceled the order and bought at another place. Did it by phone and asked if it was in stock and would I have to purchase accessories at out of the world , inflated prices. They said no and completed the transaction. Received the camera in a timely manner.

IMO the 450 is a smarter buy anyway.....the 550 still requires additional equip to use the XM interface...which to me is useless anyway because the howling wind at mach speeds negates any chance of listening to music....save it for the cage days.
And as for the MP3 player....my phone does that if I want to but then we're back to the whole mach speeds thing - pretty useless and to me it's more a distraction from what's going on around me, especially in town where the idiot drivers really seem to congregate.The 450 is a great unit and will hold up to the best abuse you can throw at it. Have fun and enjoy it!

Jaysus - get the Nuvi 500 - MUCH better unit than the Zumo and it carries the same water/shock rating as the Zumo.
550 rocks.
