Anyone ever ride a TL1000R

Your question as to the power. Watch out as the guy on the GSXR 600 takes you on the inside when your not looking.
Different animal altogether. Fun factor is still up there. Power is different on the V-Twin.

I loved mine & miss it alot and hope one day my neighbor gives me a chance to get it back.Tons of torque, beaautiful rumble witht he D&D slipons made about 130hp tuned to the max, stock motor.I got it as a total for $350 and should have never sold it.

That is one of the best looking TLR's I've seen .

Went and checked one out, still love it...but after riding it....I brought it back and had to say "No Thanks"....love the V-twin rumble....but the Busa is just a better bike for the type of riding I do....If I ever get a chance to snag one up cheap, I may think about it....but after riding it I can't believe I was even thinking of unloading the Busa....Ever since that day I look at the Busa much differently...

I went from an R6 to the Busa....and if I went to the TL it would almost be like going back to an R6 in terms of power and performance....Guess I don't appreciate the Busa til I hop on another bike....This has happened to me a few times mainly when I switch bikes with a buddy for a little while when riding....Happened with a Gixxer 600 and 750 and then an R6 and now the TL1000R....Thanks for all the good info though....Still like the look and rumble....but no comparison to me....

I had a TL-R, had it from Jan02 to Aug02, put 700 miles on it and absolutely hated it. I traded it in for my first Busa. When I traded it in it had 703 miles on it.

$3K savings will me ZIP to you down the road a bit. If you like aspects of the TL, but one. Keep the Busa. my .02

The Busa is the bike to keep. If you are willing to take that extra $3K and put it into weight reduction and performance upgrades I would say do it but then you will want the Busa back after you are finished.

Agree...strongly agree....I doubt a TL with $3K in mods would even be as gfood as a stock busa...and I am not so stock anymore....Probably have about $2000-2500 in extras on the Busa now....Once again guys, thanks.....just helping me realize what a dumb ass move that could have been....

Thanks for the compliments it was a blast to take a totalled bike, rebuild it to your standards and then roll it down the road.i loved the bike and am waiting to get something else built so my neighbor will buy it and trade me back the tl.

Pac,that cutie is the bike your frame came from, before it was pc'd black.
