what area in ohio ya lookin to move?? i think that will play a big roll in where to look for real estate... i can tell ya that the area around cincy is gonna be cheaper than ne ohio...

That's pretty broad question. What line of work are you in what are you looking to do? Why are you moving to Ohio? Industries and growth are vastly different from Cleveland to Cincy. Like I said your question is very broad, share some info and there are several who would probably be able to share our insight. When will this happen?

I have an aunt in Canton - real nice area but I don't know anything about the real estate market at the moment...

i live equally between canton and cleveland in akron, oh. in my opinion and based on what i know of cincy after livin in that area for 21 yrs... southern ohio is gonna be cheaper real estate wise than ne or nw ohio...

example... new construstion 4 bedroom 2 car garage full basement in cincy area can be had for around 170-180k. in ne ohio they start at around 190-215k....

150k will get u a middle of the road older home in ne ohio and in cincy will get you new construction ranch, 2-story, and bi-level homes and you will prolly have change to spare.

did not know that there was a "good" place in Ohio to look for a house..... :snickers: but what area are you looking?

I was stuck in Youngstown for 7 years and hated it . Sorry you have to move but Everything is cheaper there.

Youngstown is certaintly "NOT" the direction I'd point any newcomber to Ohio. For that matter there's little along the Ohio/PA border I'd recommend. That being said, Ohio is vastly diferent in region, topography, industry, people form north to south and east to west. So if you had a more definite region og ohio we could certaintly be more helpful.

Has any one mentioned that Ohio weather SUCKS for riding.

Pittsburgh is right across the Ohio border, and it's a great town!

I can't speak for the PA side of the Border, but the Ohio side is white trash poverty in my opinion. Now Granted, that's not everyone, just a generalization.

Now as a Browns Fan.................Pittsburgh sucks too..........

Like others have said, that's a hard question to answer. I can tell you that Akron is on the come up and it's a nice place...that's where I grew up. Housing there is very cheap too.

I live in central OH, and there are a lot of us down here. I would think it would primarily depend on your occupation.

As far as teams go though, if you live north, it's the Browns, south it's the Bengals, and if you live anywhere in the middle, it's the..WHAT?...The WHO?...Number one in the what?...The Ohio State Buckeyes.

If I were moving to one of the big 3 in Ohio - Columbus, Cleveland or Cincy, I'd definetly try to find a place on the outskirts of town.

I know you paint, do you plan on opening your own shop, working somewhere? Etc. Why Ohio?
