Sorry , I had to do it ! Ohio has alot of nice places , they are just not near Youngstown.

cincy, good times
columbus, good times
cleveland, pack ur heat!!!

I'm from ohio, about 15 minutes from cleveland. Just far enough away from downtown but close enough to see the sights. The rock hall, jacobs field, the browns stadium and lake erie. I have owned a boat for the last few years and spent alot of time at the lake, its pretty nice now. The weather takes a bit to get use too...but its sometimes nice to see the seasons change. As far as the real estate stuff goes, its a buyers market right now. There is a ton of homes for sale right now so its the pick of the litter for you.

i'll ask the mrs where she's looking online. i figure somewhere near a college since we'll be opening up a food joint.

just asked and she's looking 45 minutes south of columbus...?

anyone?

she does'nt know the areas either, just that the houses are cheap. we'd have no mortgage, paid in full. but i would like a decent area...

shoot dave hurry up over and hook up my raising links before i roll out!

dont want to be in an area where i "need" to pack heat.

so willmington kool?

yup i'll have my paintshop at home. paint is seasonal though, so opening a food joint sounds good for the bread and butter [pun intended].

wilmington is still kinda in the middle of no where with civilization still a good 25 mins north or south. you would be about 25-30 mins from kings island though which is a huge amusement park in the the area. only bad thing i can say about the location of wilmington is that it is flat and prone to tornado's.....

Don't hear much about Wilmington, that's out in the sticks. I'd have to get a map just to find it....don't remember any signs for it. haha.

nicccce, i like the sticks. i'll get more info out the wife.

gix' houses cheaper where we lookin' now. planning on no mortgage..pay in full.

thanks for the fedback, very helpful. i'll post up as i know more about where we're looking. all i know is that she knows i want a garage/barn.

Im here in Dayton. I don't recommend this city at all under any circumstances. For that matter not even Montgomery county. Now outside of that in the surrounding area is nice. If you are wanting to open an eating joint then Beavercreek is a good choice. It is more upscale and has a new mall. Lots of new stores popping up all the time. Lots of construction going on. There are many reasons to stay out of the dayton area. Taxes and crime rate are the 2 biggest reasons.
