Anyone ride a...

I've ridden one - a buddy of mine has one. lots of tasty torque down low, but it falls on its face on the top end. that being said, it's a VERY comfortable bike to ride though. Also, (in my opinion) it's a good looking bike.

Had one until a couple of years ago and sold it. BAD MISTAKE !!! I really loved the bike and really wish I still had it. I have a number of Ducatis and the TL1000R WON me over ! I am just sorry that Suzuki never developed it any futher and dropped it 3 years ago. I put 25,000 miles of wonderful riding on it.

Nuf Said, IT'S A GREAT BIKE

OMG!!! I LOVED THE TL1000R Such a fun bike, its great for track too, Very VERY comfy, Busa Comfy. Very very smoothe, very good low end torque, Just like the busa, you can feel it A lot!!! When I can afford another bike, it will be a TL1000R, I enjoyed it ALOT!! Careful though It will cook your crotch, since its a vtwin the rear cylinder head cannot get good airflow, has to totally rely on Fluid cooling. other than that, its hella fun

Just another post, The reason I do not have it anymore is because the guy I bought it from put some cheap parts in the engine just to make it run, and I blew the head.

I tried to purchase a slightly rashed one a couple years ago, but the owner wasn't willing to let it go. I always considered the TL a baby Busa...

Sweet bike! I had a 02. Great all around bike with awesome power from 2000 to 10000 rpms. You need to be

atleast 200 pounds for it handle though. I hate I had to sell mine. I bought my busa in 05 so I didnt have room for both.

I bought my TLR in June of 1998 (look at my online name) before any where around. The TLR ranks right up there as one of my favorite bikes of all time. Granted, I thought the bike was a total p.o.s. until I swapped out the rear shock for a Penske w/the Lindeman link. After the shock change it was a completely different bike. Between racing, track days and weekend rides I had put 77,000 miles by January 2002. The motor was super reliable and never needed anything. In a race through the gears it was a dead even race with the 98 R1 until about 150 mph then the R1 would start to pull slightly. It comes geared way too tall from the factory so I went down 1 in front and up 1 in the rear and cruising rpm at 70 mph was just about 5,000 rpm. I had a full ti yosh system, a carbon airbox w/velocity stacks inside and a PC II and it was making 134 hp., up from 118 stock. When the 2002 R1 came out I wanted it so I ended up parting my TLR out for just a little over $13,000 (eye opener isn't it). Due to the cult following the TLR enjoys and the magic of Ebay, the TLR is worth quite a bit more in parts than it is as a complete bike. If I came across a low mileage, clean TLR today I would snap it up in a heartbeat! Hope this helps

Had one for a summer. Great bike, as everyone says torque, torque, torque. Imo it pulls harder than the busa up until about 6k. They also have a lower center of gravity and will wheelie all day long, balance easy. Would not say it is as comfy as the busa but very close. Good bike, still love my busa more

Have you ridden the bikes back to back? The TL is nowhere near as comfortable as a busa.
Yes, I had the TL1000R 1 week before my busa
