One thing I learned: The screws that attach the aluminum block to the shift shaft are too long. Get a nut and thread it on, then cut about three threads off so they don't scratch your frame.

Good tip! My only question now is will it work on my aftermarket shift rod. The Gilles rearsets use a larger diameter than OEM and it doesn't look like much room in your pics...
