Any pointers on where to start for someone who is wanting to get in to this ? 0 experience.

Start with something stupid cheap and watch the movement. Dont invest more than you are willing to loose. Shiba is cheap as are alot of others. Once you start to get a hang of trends keep you eye on larger more profitable ones. Good luck
