Anyone with a scientific background...what is this~?~

Looks kinda like Drymistat. It's a tube that you put in a humidor that acts as a humidifier. The stuff inside is like silicone but it expands a bit with water. Either way, weird to appear in the yard...

I got it! They use that stuff to maintain moisture in flower arrangements. I almost guarantee that is what it is from.

I believe you all nailed it...started thinking about this link and the color I saw a few days ago (clear now) and thought I'd check this jar out...this is cricket drink.

We use crickets for food here (Dragon, not me ) and this stuff is how they get their moisture. Looked at the bottle and it contains something similar to the link...Polyacrylamide Copolymer

I still don't know how this would have gotten upstairs then outside in the yard...but definitely a good possible theory~!~

I googled this stuff and looks like the powder like what some of you have described, nothing like the blue crystals that you actually use, but it's an ingrediant of this product.

Close to being solved I believe...

I still think it's something else around the house...but tryinig to think what else might have something similar in it that I have used and could end up there~!~

Wow. I forgot that I have seen that before. Found it in my yard here in VA. It grossed me out, so I took the garden hose to it and it washed away easily.

Tried looking it up on the web. Here's a site from the BBC, but their jelly is milky white. What I saw was clear like yours.

BBC - Scotland Outdoors Articles - The 'jelly' mystery

The site has lots of speculation, from frog's eggs to space aliens. I think it's some kind of fungus.

BOGUS...there is some kind of cellulose in diapers and "feminine" protection products that does that...

Now how in the HELL would you know that???????

How did 2 people beat me to the "Taste it" joke? Im slackin, i promise to do better next time.

I think its plant stuff, or Alien droppings:laugh:
