Fast Eddie APE does excellent work but when I was running a 1277 GSXR and 1316 GSXR I had some cranks go south. I am not blaming anyone because that is dragracing but the Falicon did last slightly longer. Luck maybe But tracks don't lie when it comes to testing parts.
We will not be doing any billet cranks for the 'busa. We have yet to see a modified ( lightened and or stroked ) 'busa crank suffer any structual failure.
The 1127 GSXR had a crank with a design flaw that caused them to crack in the rod journals under servere use. That is why a number of companies built billet cranks for them. Suzuki addressed that problem in the water cooled 1100, and so far the 'busa crank seems bullit proof. Time will tell.
Richard at TTS (bigbusa) has some billet strokers.
