aprilia mille owner; thinking about going with a busa

If there is a better place I should be posting this, let me know, but this seemed like the best location...

i am currently riding an '01 aprilia rsv mille but am looking for something with a more comfortable riding position for me. i hate to even entertain the idea of getting rid of her, but i have a buddy with a Gen2 busa and i fell in love with it. i would love to have an 08, but it is just outside of my means at the moment.

i think i want a Gen1 busa, although i've never ridden one. i know of a few around town that i plan to as soon as the rain gives us a break. i can't convince my wife that i need two motorcycles, so i can either sell my bike and buy a busa or trade my bike + dollars.

having said that, is there anyone, or does anyone know anyone who may be, interested in making a trade for my Aprilia? If i am able to get any interest generated, i have a TON of pictures i can post.

Welcome to the oRg and by all means, post up some pics. You need to figure out if the Gen 1 is what you want. I personally love mine, but have never been in the saddle of a Gen 2. Good Lord willing and the creek dont rise, I will have a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 in the garage next year.

Welcome to the oRg, nice looking ride! I'm sure that whatever you decide to do will work out... But the Busa is a fantastic machine for all different styles of riding.

You will be pleasently pleased with either a Gen I or Gen II

I myself ride a Gen I and have not yet had the priviledge of jumping on a Gen II but have heard nothing but good things about them.

The only Problem I can see with a Gen II is that they havent come out in Maroon yet, Cause as we allllllllll know it is the fastest color.

thanks for all the feedback guys, and yes, even the thought of getting rid of her is heartbreaking. i'm scheming on a way to keep her and get the busa, but as of yet have been unsuccessful.
