That’s perfect. Hwy 1 would be a lot better than Hwy 5.
For those unfamiliar there is about 300 miles of flat boring farm/ranch land between the Southern edge of the Bay Area and the Northern edge of LA.
Hwy 5 is the most direct route but it goes straight through the most rural part of CA and is BORING.
Hwy 1 follows the winding Pacific coastline. It takes a lot longer but the views are magnificent.
