If yo haven't done anything with your chrome covers yet, you can take them to a paint shop, have them mix a little black paint with clear coat, have them sprayed and that'll give you a black chrome look. Just a thought.

$500, it'd be cheaper to buy a new bike with the black frame. How's a company gonna survive in this economy selling that kind of stuff.
