Attn Nor Cal Riders

Shannon, thanks so much for the invite, I've been pming (word?) Robert and he too graciously invited me the night before to which I accepted. I look forward to meeting you and hope you attend the ride. Doyle

(ps I hope I don't have to sleep in the same bed as Robert)

I would recommend you keep your personal hygiene items under close guard whilst "Rooming" with Bosshound.

So, Head East, should we head East (foothills) or West (coast)? What about Skaggs Road off Hwy One? Doyle

lets try to watch the weather and figure out where it's gonna stay the driest ( and preferably no snow :poke:) I'm up for wherever myself. I just wanna get the busa out for some seat time.

Busa guys and gals, I ride these rodes every week...Rodes are still in very good condition. Very little rock (seldom) on roads. I would recommend either meeting in Winters off of 505 and heading west up to Lake Berryessa on 128...drop dead gorgeous scenery...then you can drop on down to Lake Hennesy and Napa Valley...maybe an hour and a half at leisurely pace... or stay with the road that goes over to Spanish Flats on Lake Berryessa and then over to Pope Valley road and then to Napa valley (futher up valley)...If you really want some twisties get on up to Mt. St Helena on 29. Another fun route would be to meet up in Napa somewhere and go at it from that direction...go all the way up valley on Silverado, over Mt St Helena, through Clearlake, turns into hwy 20...spirited ride down to Winters...about an hour from Winters to Sac...Bay area riders would turn off on 505 and end up in Vacaville...My bike is torn apart right now for painting and mods...which is killing me to know the whole crowd I .org with and have never met will be out playing and I'll be sanding and spraying... Weather could be an issue and don't want to ride these roads once it is dark...My estimate from Napa to Williams is 30 minutes from Napa to Calistoga...30 minutes from Calistoga to Middletown..and 1 hour from Middletown to Williams...Williams to Sac 1 hr...Let me know if there is any routing I can help you with...I know every inch of these roads...2hip

lol I think just about all of us have been to every singe one of those places:cheerleader:

How about up Cache creek canyon and then up 29 to Butts Canyon and Pope Valley? At this time of the year it would be a long haul over to the coast for the Sac riders...just sayin...2hip

Has anybody been on Berryessa Knoxville rd. It goes from upper end of Berryessa to Lower lake. You will have to cross 5 to 7 creeks. Depending on the winter. Some you will have to walk your bike through and will probbaly go down so slippery. But nice ride. I had to make a dirt bike out of mine at one crossing, I wound on the creek bed you know those nice rocks that are smooth and round. Didn,t go down just a lot of sand everywere.

ok well guys (and girl) we actually have a date and so far we've actually planned well in advance (not normal for us :poke:) so let's get this route down I'm pretty much familiar with the local area's to me every other ride I've ever taken was leaving CA so up further north I'm not too familiar with but first things first lets get a starting point I really don't care where I go as long as I'm riding there. so what say everybody and by the looks of it plan for a long ride :beerchug:
