SOB i was leaving my friends house, roads looked dry, to dark to tell if there sand anywhere. anyways i was pulling out of my friends apartment only going 10-20 mph and next thing i know my back end slides out from under me and i hit my head (HELMET was on) and im sliding in circles.

Helmet is trashed visor latch snapped. OLD hjc cl-14

Jacket Small hole in left arm- Still in pretty good shape jacket not even 2 months old was my 1st motorcycle jacket. Vega touring jacket did a good job

just wearing 15$ jeans from walmart no major damage they were just old bs pants with oil stains.
tenis shoes got tore up a bit (yeah i know i usually were my leather steel toe work boots but my feet needed a break from them)

AND now for the real damage This is going to get exspensive.

you walked away from it with no injuries, you can always fix the bike

the other good sign, its not obviously leaking fluids, while rashed its still functional so you can at least fix as required/afforded and still enjoy your ride.

looking at tire and weather?.. too much power for the cold tires and pavement... looks like it just powered out from under you..

I have had similar things happen (stayed upright however) when the temps get into the 50's (looks like you guys are way below that now in the 20's).. These motors make too much power for cold pavement IMO..

Glad you had your lid on... that slow fall can be pretty bad when your head whips on to the blacktop..

I agree with Mr Bogus looks like either the bike powered out from under you or as you were coming off you rolled on throttle.
The back tire looks like it did alot of spinning .

Really glad your here to tell us about it .
Good you walked away without perm damage.
Sorry about the bike though it's a real bummer .

Glad you're okay...should be plenty of parts available to you as you dress her back out.

:beerchug:

Glad you are ok! Cold weather and too much power equals you and the bike going down!

Sad to see this.End of the day is that you are fine. When you are fine you can work extra OT if there are any to slowly do up the bike.I know that feelinbg when you feel like your heart dropped onto the bottom of the floor.

Sorry about your get off. At least it was a low speed crash and really not alot of damage to the bike. Still rideable so do the Red Green trip with ductape and go have fun! :cheerleader:

Is that the stock rear tire?

No its a brand new dunlop sportmax and front is a new shinko 009, there about 200 miles maybe more on them.

Wow, that really sucks about the bike! Things could have been a LOT worse! You walked away with no injuries!! I know that does nothing for the pain of messing up your bike but I'm glad you are ok.

They say there's 2 kinds of people... Those who have been down and those who will... If this was your first time (hopefully the last) then I say you did ok!

Sorry bout the off, glad you're alright. Nothing a little duct tape and black rattle can can't fix. Good luck with the fix.

Do yall think it would be cheaper to fix it my self or call my insurance and possible raise my rates?
deductable is 500 i think.

Glad your okay. id probly fix that myself. Start lookin around here, ebay... and get a rough idea what the cost would be and go from there.

I starting to think it was this stupid dunlop sportmax tire, just switched from the shinko 009.
Iv never ever had the shinko slip on me not even in the cold 16 degree weather. maybe the sportmax is just to hard of a tire for the winter.
