Back from Seattle

if you have problems with the rain, then the NW would be a bad place for ya, if you like the outdoors then the NW is the right place.

good luck

You would sure be a hit as a "manwhore" in frisco, sweetcheeks!

That's sorta the $200k question isn't it? I mean I spend a couple weeks in Wales, never see the sun and I am diggin that. I lived in Omaha for four years and during the winter it clouds up for weeks on end and I have no problems... But what about long term... I mean how little sunlight are we really talking about? Can I handle it?

I mean I don't mind riding in the rain, and I dig cloudy days, but what about in the long term? I think so, I know I freakin hate Sunny day after Sunny day, it gets really old, I like the days when the mist is hanging in the trees, and it's all quiet and grey... I love that stuff...

But we'll see...

San Francisco and the surounding areas look really nice... Perfect weather, and good stuff... But too expensive, I mean how much time am I really going to spend ogling the bay and the cool city when I have to live 45 minutes away to afford it... So what are the other perks out there???

I mean besides Lobusa of course. Chance to meet Thrasher, Tbone, and the rest... Go to laguna Seca... and Excellent riding... Good Jobs... etc... I mean other than that?

OK Here's a quick example. Homes in Antioch California and a few areas in the Seattle area. Just a comparison.

First The Antioch house:

Now the Seattle area homes... Here's one at about the same price...

Notice the square footage and property...  Hmmm

Ok here is another comparable home to the Antioch house..

Oh Did I mention I dig trees? Last one, but it's this pricing craziness that really puts me off the the bay area in California. I simply cannot see spending the money being asked for the home you get... It's simply not a good value...

And hey, If the Mrs and I decide to keep it simple? We can do simple... with some class in WA...

the sound area is very nice. It gets plenty cold and much rain!!!! SF is way over priced but if affordable might be the better of the two choices. I would go with wherever Mrs Rev feels like she would enjoy her job more.

Ultimately you are correct Painless. All of my smoke blowing and footstomping means about bobo in this case. In fact, though I am sorta leaning towards Washington, all the indicators point to San Francisco as being a much better choice career wise and financially... Not to mention ridingwise... I'd be moving to sportbike heaven... (SORTA)

If I really hated one or the other the Wife wouldn't be looking for jobs there, so I allready had my say pretty much. I mean there are all sorts of good jobs waiting for the Wife in New England, but I was like HELL NO I don't want to move up there... I want to go back out west... So here we are...
smile.gif

I drug the both of us to Omaha, She Drug us to Tampa, now we are trying to find a place we are both into... I tend to lean towards Washington because her office is outta downtown and there is a lot less crowding going on than in the Bay Area, I miss open spaces and the woods...

Decisions decisions... I just haven't made one yet. Still waiting on the follow up. Personally, I lean more toward Washington (Sorry LoBusa!) because of the pricing and the lesser commute. Job wise it's a really tough call - the jobs are quite different. In SF it would be just me as the analyst for a brand new department, pretty high profile, and VERY specialized. In Seattle it would be a "junior management" position with lots of project management responsibilities with a very well respected moderately sized company, with a very broad spectrum of products. They're kinda apples and oranges... So we wait... and see... who offers what to move by when...
