Back from the track!  9's????

You need to do little else, your allready faster than 90% of them here simply based on your choice of the fastest color!!!
Now you know the SE's come out of the factory unrestricted, with larger midpipes, Special Ceramic High speed Muffler Bearings and a High flow filter right?

So really, your way ahead of the game, Gimmie a shout and I'll tell you all about my 25HP Stage 1 Top Secret Fender Mod!!!

I thank you for that info about the SE's being unrestricted, because i ran my SE against a '00 w/ motor work on the big end on the highway, and yes he had the 220mph gauge. We were side by side going through the gears. When we stopped he was totally mad because he had the airbox mod and minor motor work
and did not leave me. All i have done to my bike is that i am lowered 2" in the rear.

I I know...I PM'd him but I do not think he saw it... I feel kinda bad...

Well, what can i say, i couldnt understand that my stock busa was side by side with a busa with mods. We raced for about 4 miles, from second gear, and he would only jump ahead on a gear shift, i would wind my gear out to redline then shift and pull slightly ahead of him, so either there is something to MY "SE" or It's ALIVE!!!:D

Stallion,

Take it to the dyno and see what kind of numbers it puts out! Mine did 157 HP SAE to the tire bone stock!

By the way how much do you weight and the guy you raced? I have a feeling that's your outcome because if he has minor motor work done he should ruin you, unless he can't ride!?!?

Josh

Got-Busa
I think the guy was lying on his Busa as far as motor work. I know he has the airbox mod, full micron system, lowered 1 1/2" in rear, weight is about 160. I am lowered 2" in rear, front forks are softened, weight is 235, and i just watch the redline. But I will dyno my bike and will post what it is.

Of course once I start getting better the track has to close! :cussing:

Why.....why......why? It's only like 50 something degress out. As long as it doesn't SNOW, I'm good to ride/race!

I will have to go down to the 3" hole on the rear links next year because it just wheelies to darn bad now. The pipe made a big difference in the power department! :beerchug:

With the front tire in the air through first and second gear "every pass," tonight's results!

60' 330' 1/8 1/4 MPH
(1) 1.616 4.355 6.687 10.238 138.86

(2) 1.628 4.299 6.436 9.853 142.40
(3) 1.653 4.320 6.438 9.843 142.85

(4) 1.679 4.388 6.493 9.920 141.93

My first pass may have been a 9.7?? but it wheelied so high and then popped out of second gear, arrrrrrrrrrr! :cussing:

Maybe next year!

Josh

P.S. Does anyone race Busa's anymore these days?:super:?

Excelent times Got-Busa, I think I will do the same by going to the third hole in the lowering link. Do you have straps on the front or a different tripple tree? There is a bis drag racing event in Memphis this weekend my friends are going to race in. Anyone else going to be there?

Stallion,

Just a strap on the front for me!

If I was still stationed in Columbus MS, I would love to go to Memphis and race but I am now in Ohio so it isn't looking good.

What are you running in the 1/4?

Soon to be one more in Az.  I just bought a brand new '03 for that very purpose.  Reading your posts has me pumped to get this thing on the track!   :super:

Home track will be Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, but I crew for my friend's jet dragster, so I'll bring it along on our trips out of state too.  I'm tired of going to all these tracks and only getting to drive the crew truck down them!

Now if I can just keep from getting any tickets while I break it in.
