RSD.

Sounds like discrimination. I would bet someone gonna get in trouble.

all it will take will be the right someone to get offended about the policy, sue, and own the apartment complex... seems like that's the trend, all they have to do is class it as either racial or religeous discrimination of some sort. maybe they can find a cross or christian slogan in the managers office (doubtful with the discrimination mentality) read it, if it's in plain view, get offended, and sue. I hate reading the news, it keeps me in a constant anger over all the stupid, petty crap that gets all the power and more important core value stuff gets overlooked. bad thing, most Texas businesses have the open door, right to refuse policies posted in the main offices. thier decision as long as it's not solely bases on race, religion, or gender.

The US Constitution states (well, the Constitution as interpreted by the US Supreme Court) that you can't discriminate against certain classes of people, which includes "protected" classes based upon (as best I can remember) race, religion, sex, national origin, age, and disability. So, I think (but I'm not sure) that they might be able to refuse to rent to tatooed people (or anyone), as long as it isn't a hidden reason ("pretext" in legal terms) for refusing to rent to someone who is in a protected class.

They are really treading on thin, "legal" ice by classifying people into a group for the purpose of denying them access.

Now, if your tat's have religous meaning or religous symbolism... they would be descriminating against your religion.

Personal appearance... what about being overweight? Dying your hair color? Red finger nail polish? Where does it stop?

IMO - Basing an opinion of a person by personal appearance only, puts you in the same catagory as the people that think I'm a thug because I ride a bike.

Another reason Texas should be part of Mexico

But with only 18 posts and a new Busa owner I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. It's what us Mexican's... I mean Texan's do.
