Bash nervousness

When are you rolling in Jon?

We are thinking we might come up friday afternoon. my brother has a relative up there where we can crash, or might just grab a hotel room close by.. still undecided...

So far I believe three or four of us(family) are coming, maybe more.
My dad is probably more nervous than anyone here. He has never ridden the dragon and its all he has talked about for 4 years! Im tired of hearing him talk about how much he wants to go etc......So i told him he was going this year!

I could possibly take the youngest trophy:laugh:

MAN! I was so looking forward to it. Now with my heart thing Mark and I will not be able to make it. It sucks. Can someone get me a shirt? If so PM me and I will give you my info. I am more the happy to pay for it just let me know and I can pay pal you the money or send you a check. You guys and gals have fun and be safe. I hope that we can make it next year.

I wont be there this year... The first time in years... BUT here is some information that will change the event for anyone that is new...

There is no such thing as a stranger at the bash... Walk up and talk to folks, stick your hand out and introduce yourself... The funny thing is that you will walk along and think to yourself that you are the new guy and you can see groups of people talking all over the place. In fact most of those people just met and they are just getting introduced. You have to get out of your comfort zone... I think the only really organized parts are the food, if you don't pay you don't eat its that simple. Sometimes they have extra and you can throw some money down but the people that paid eat for sure... Other than that I would stay away from people's alcohol... touching the apple, bannana or coconut could cause you to be buried in the mountains of North Carolina where you would hear the wind whistle through the trees and the eternal overtones of banjo music while you ask yourself "Why did I touch it?"

Get out there and meet people...

:cheerleader: Ill take that advice.

Sorry to hear you arent going... Wouldve been cool to meet the infamous Cap!

i've tried to make it to this event for 2 yrs but this, that, and the other thing just keep coming up. I have no problems meeting anyone on 2 wheels. Heck, i've rode with total strangers and enjoyed myself. This yr seems the hopes of making the bash are promising. So promising, i can taste it! But as usual, this, that and the other thing have crept up on me. bike wont start but working on that. Then, I Just found out my throttle tube is cracked :banghead: no biggie. Ordering one pronto!

There is no such thing as a stranger at any busa event I have been too. Just walk up, say hi and your name, learn theirs, and talk about busa's. It is that simple.

One word of advice, if you drink, don't fall asleep outside  do it in a locked room. Some accessorizing has happened to some people.
