Battlefield 3 vs Call of Duty?

I am waiting for Modern Warfare 3 coming out on 11/8/11. But I hear some talk about how Battlefield 3 is similar if not better than CoD. Not sure if I can wait till the 8th or midnight on the 7th :laugh: so tell me what is it that is different than CoD in Battlefield? Can you destroy/interact more with the map? I wish in CoD you could blow holes in walls and create your own entrances or places to sneak thru? Can't do that? Can you in BF3? How is the gameplay? Fast and you getting killed like 30 times each round by 8yr olds or will I last longer :)

Ditch the PS3 and wait for COD on Xbox :laugh:

I have a PS3 for the blu-ray player never played a single game on it.

I have friends that swear by Battlefield though. BUY IT! It's only money, right?? :D
 
Battlefield 3 is an awesome gaming experience. The sound is incredible on a good surround sound system. It offers a more strategic experience than COD and you can run and gun or support your squad with med kits, ammo, vehicle repairs in addition to blowing stuff up. You also get to ride in just about every vehicle to include tanks, helicopters, HUMVEEs etc. The down side to this is there are often "aces" that can circle strafe your ass off and you die a lot. That is my one gripe about the battlefield series is airpower is lopsided and there needs to be more Anti Aircraft effective tools available. Game play is a bit slower and more deliberate than COD. You still have your twitch 8 year old gamers but that can be countered with strategic thinking. Otherwise, this is the best shooter so far.

COD is just like you described. Much faster action and more tactical in nature. Squads can team up but their advantage is communication only. Not much intra squad support. I like them both for different reasons.
 
Bots I bought the ps3 to play blu rays and DVDs. Oh look honey it plays games too! :)
How it went down. Not buying an Xbox. Just need opinions from people who play both.
 
Dont buy battlefield. It is cool and all but gets boring after one game! No one talks either. its so annoying.

Get an xbox and play with the cool crowd like me, honda east justin, sportcustoms71, gsxrbots and a few others :thumbsup:
 
I feel sorry for the rest of the world if we are the "cool kids".. :rofl:
 
Does BF3 have that dang killcam? I like to lie, wait and when they least expect it out rings my L96 with a headshot outta nowhere :) In CoD you either play Hardcore or you have to change positions or they come looking for you.

I also would like bigger maps. HUGE maps with like 50-100 people playing online. When I played CoD online with a pc I remember the maps were larger and with more players. Why is this?

I can't stand hearing these kids talk back and forth. Their grammar and speech is horrible. Not too mention when I'm playing at 3am they are talking Spanish or Japanese? I wind up muting them anyway.

There are 24 people per map and it feels like alot. The maps are HUGE on battlefield. There are no kill cams but it does show your location of the person that killed you so almost like a kill cam.
 
I would have bought an Xbox but I went with a ps3 so it could be main unit in den. At the time I couldn't afford $250 for a blu ray player and addtl for an Xbox. Budget oriented decision. Sorry :(

Thats half the fun! I love yelling at stupid people and talking crap :) It is half the fun for me along with completely annihilating pretty much everyone I play against and making them leave the game. Very self-gratifying :laugh:

:laugh: yeah I would not be a happy camper with you on my team. You would not want to join a game I am in and I not know who you are :laugh:.... Im super competitive. I am trying to calm it down though...
 
I have been playing bf since 2004 and love it. Also cod. But ps3 network is free and im cheap. Bf3 is amazing. They are still working out some bugs but oh well. I like the fact of only hearing people in a squad. The little kids are annoying. I.prefer quiet when I stalk! Oh almost forgot I always play hardcore its the only way to play it

haha I'm fairly certain that not many "teams" could compete with us when we were playing Black Ops. Listening to RJ talking smack is hilarious not to mention contagious lol
 
Funny thing is, I just asked RJ about this earlier this morning when he called me :laugh:
