Congrats, I have to agree with mrbrown. can't wait to see what you think.

The Gixxers nice... but just not the same. It's hard to compare to a BUSA. I ride my buddies R1 every once and awhile and I really like it but I don't know if I could give up the BUSA for a liter bike. One thing that I noticed jumping from a liter bike to the BUSA is the weight. The BUSA feels like a truck. After a mile or two that feeling goes away. The stopping power was night and day too. I'm curious to see what you think.

I picked her up from Metro Cycles, off of I-20 and Thorton Rd, here in Atlanta (Lithia Springs to be exact). Steve is the Sales Manager.  Cool guy.  I only had to pay tax, no other fees.  Considering that their cost on the bike is about $9450, I don't feel bad.  I mean, they DO have to keep the lights on.

Metro is where I went to compare the K5 gixx to the 10R side by side. I've never been able to buy shid from them. They quoted me $12,100.00 as their best out the door price for a left over K5 Gixxer for God's sake. That wasn't even a starting point for negotiations.

I guess I saw the one you bought when I was there. They had an LE in stock then (week or more ago). Congrats on the sweet new ride.

Fwiw, I almost went with the Gixx, but I've already owned a 10R and knew I liked it. I was just afraid I wouldn't like the Gixx as much. Wanted to find one and get a test ride but that doesn't happen at dealers. If I could have gotten a test ride and liked it as much as the 10 I would have went with the Gixx. Just couldn't take the gamble.

Yeah BT, I got the same crap from the general sales force there, but I almost always take my business directly to the mgt. They are the ones with the authority to make the deals.

Plus, I have always been a Suzuki guy, and after my TL 1K R, and various other Gixxers, I just had to give the K5 a chance.

Great Day… Great day…….!!!!  I picked up my ’05 Busa LE today.  I made my wife a deal though….  Because I couldn’t’ decided between my current ’05 Gixxer 1K, and a new Busa, she told me that if I could find a good deal on a Busa, that I could buy it, ride them both for a little while, and then decide which one I wanted.  I found my Busa for $9645.   Eventually, one of them will have to go, but for now, I am in Suzuki heaven.  

The two bikes are COMPLETELY different.  I mean night an day different, but I do like them both.   I will write my back to back review of my opinions of the two later.  I had to take a very long lunch to go get this bike and mow I have to get some work done.  For all of you know (mostly the married guys out there), when you get an opportunity like this, and the wife agrees, you seize the opportunity ASAP!!!!
