Those nighthawks are fun bikes! Regarding the disability, you are allowed to earn a certain amount of $$ while drawing SSI. It might be a good idea to work part-time somewhere. It will get you out and work that brainpower a little. Anything, maybe a parts runner or something within the auto industry. Anyway, good to hear your doing better.

Anyhow as soon as I hear 08' the first bike that pops

Welp , missed the 08' ride too, gonna miss the 09' and beyond as well.
I cannot go into details but let me lay it down in short.
#1 back when I got on that Nighthawk I felt great and it was fun,
fact is before my big wreck id not have ridden that bike on a wet
road on 15 yo tires. A few months after that happened I told my therapists
I thought I was getting worse because I no longer would be getting on a bike
like I did a few months back , long story short .. the truth is I was getting
better, my awareness had improved. I explain it like this , back in the spring
of 07' when I got that Honda the checklist for myself to get on a bike and be
happy was about 1/4 page long. A few months later it became 2 pages long
closer to where I was before the big wreck.
Traumatic brain injuries suck.
Anyhow I still don't know if i'll ever ride again, i'll know if I am ready.
Ok, let me put an end to this thread.
My lawsuit is over on my big wreck, I am going to be compensated pretty fairly for
what damages I got from that big wreck.
My life was basically taken from me and I had to start again, no it will
never be the same . I may never be able to return to my profession
as an auto mechanic.
But again, I am going to be compensated pretty fairly so my quality
of life should at least be better.
You guys all ride safe now ya hear.
You don't ever want to be in the kind of wreck I was in.
It is a life changing type deal.
Yes id rather be paid back my them turning back the clock and
I can choose not to go on that ride 8/2/06 but that
is not how life works.
