Best chain for the `Busa???

<<<Yes the chain is covered by the warrenty but why bother.>>>

Gixxer, are you sure it's the chain design, and not a bad batch of them, one of which is/was on your bike? I've got over 1000 miles on mine, with only a small, reasonable amount of stretch.

Of course, your mileage may vary with riding technique.

I had my dealer get an ok from suzuki to replace both sprockets & the chain w/after market ones!!! Sprocket Specialist 17 tooth (front) 42 tooth (rear +2 teeth) and a "RK530LO" chain with a tinsile rating of 11,200 lb. Suzuki said if anything happened related to thoughs parts they could not warranty it but the dealer pointed out that if the new factory chain streches after 1200miles +/- that suzuki would not cover it again!!!

TO KAMIKAZE MY CHAIN STRECTHED OUT AFTER 200 MILES. I TRYED A DID ZVM CHAIN IT DIDN'T WORK.THE PROBLEM WAS IN MY REAR SPROCKET IT WAS MACHINED INCORRECTLY. THE DEALER REPLACED THE SPROCKETS AND INSTALLED THE STOCK CHAIN.I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY BIKE NOW AND I RUN IT HARD.DID SENT ME A NEW CHAIN MADE FOR THE 1300R TO TRY.BUT I AM HAVING NO PROBLEM WITH THE STOCK ONE.CHECK YOUR REAR SPROCKET.

Sabor,

What problem did you/dealer determine with your drivetrain that caused Suzuki to ok that aftermarket sprocket-chain deal? I believe I would just as well go your route if possible here in Atlanta, than chance factory/bad batch problems.

Sabor,

What's the 42 tooth + 2 rear sprocket on your bike going to do to/for performance?

Also Sabor, is the 17 tooth, the stock tooth number for the front sprocket?
