Very good advice from BigDawg. Also, that GSXR 1k that you're talking about is not a sweet deal (in my opinion). There's a dealer here selling a silver '03 leftover for something like 9,500 otd which even then, if I were buying it, I would try and talk him down even further then that. the one you're talking about sounds pretty hooked up, but usually (not always) that also means that it was ridden pretty freakin hard. and you can pretty much forget about the twisties on that bike. Listen to BigDawg, don't get too excited, take your time and find the perfect one. I know (believe me I KNOW) its a lot easier said then done...you get that new bike fever and all rational thought no longer applies, but just chill and take your time. If you're not ready to jump to a Busa, then you're sure not ready for a GSX-R 1K. There's plenty of good deals out there on the exact bike that you want. My suggestion is narrow it down to a solid two models that you want...one's that you like pretty much the same, and shop EVERYWHERE. You'll find what you want. Once again for your skill level (what I gathered from your posts), financial situation, comfort, wheelies, twisties, etc..., you should seriously consider the 750. Good luck on your search.
Oh yeah....get the 750!!!
BTW, just in case you happen to be looking on ebay, or even thinking about it...be careful because there's a lot of scams. if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
