I had a "cheap" compressor when I was Jeepin' and that's what it was CHEAP. It pulled so many amps (due to the heat the motor created) that I couldn't put more than 7lbs in my tires before grenading the fuse.

Again you get what you pay for and for me the middle of nowhere with 50% of my tires flat demands reliability.
